Privacy information

How Trade Crash handles personal data. It describes what the game does at its initial launch.

This page explains how Trade Crash works at its initial launch. It is for information only, is not legal advice and may be updated as the game changes.

Who is responsible

Contact: support@tradecrsh.com.

Trade Crash is a free entertainment game. Its prices are simulated and its scores have no monetary value.

What the game processes

  • Sign-in. You sign in with Google through WorkOS, our authentication provider. Google and WorkOS process your sign-in details (for example your email address and name) under their own terms. The game's own database stores an internal account identifier and the link between that identifier and your WorkOS identity. It does not store your password, and it has no field for your email address.
  • Nickname. The nickname you choose is public: other players and the leaderboard can see it.
  • Game activity. Your rounds, results, points and leaderboard standing are stored with your account so the game can work and rank players. Points are virtual and have no monetary value.
  • Technical data. Connections go through Cloudflare. To limit abuse, such as mass account creation or too many simultaneous connections, the game uses an opaque value derived from your connection address. It is not used to identify you. Server logs and error details may contain technical information; they are filtered to exclude credentials.
  • Not collected. The game collects no payment details (there are no payments) and no precise location. Advertising and analytics are disabled for the initial launch: there is no advertising and no visitor analytics today. This page will be updated before either is switched on.

Service providers

  • Cloudflare: hosts the website, the realtime game server and the database.
  • WorkOS and Google: authentication and sign-in.
  • No advertising provider, analytics provider or error-reporting provider is active at the initial launch.

Cookies and browser storage

  • Session cookie set by the sign-in system (WorkOS AuthKit): strictly needed to keep you signed in. It is encrypted and not readable by the page.
  • Local storage in your browser holds a small credential that identifies your connection to the game room, and your sound and music preferences. They are needed for the game to work or to remember your choices, and they are not shared with other sites.
  • No analytics or advertising cookies are set.

Advertising

Today: no advertising is shown and no advertising cookies are set.

Planned: we intend to apply to show ads served by Google (Google AdSense) on public pages. If advertising is approved and switched on, Google and its advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads, including ads based on your earlier visits to this and other websites. You can manage personalised advertising in Google's ad settings (adssettings.google.com) or at www.aboutads.info. Before any ads are switched on, this page will be updated and, where it is required, you will be offered a choice about advertising cookies. Ads would never be shown inside the game screen.

How long data is kept

This describes what the game does today. No other retention period has been set, and none is promised.

  • Account records and game results (the data that rankings are built from) are kept. The game does not delete them automatically.
  • Anonymous connection identities that are not used for 7 days are removed automatically.
  • Recent completed rounds are kept, up to a limited number, so they can be verified; older ones are removed automatically.
  • Daily and weekly leaderboard summaries may be removed by the operator, because they can be rebuilt from the results.
  • Cloudflare keeps its own logs and operational data under its own policies. This project sets no separate period for them.

Your requests

You can ask us for access to the data held about you, to correct it, or to delete it, by writing to support@tradecrsh.com. We handle requests by hand. To protect your account, we may ask you to prove it is yours before acting, for example by writing from the Google account you signed in with and telling us your nickname.

What we can do depends on what the game's records technically allow. There is no automatic deletion or data-export tool yet, and some game records, such as results that rankings are built from, are kept by design. We will tell you what we did and what we could not do. Deletion and anonymization of an account are not available yet, so we cannot currently promise either.

Age

Trade Crash is for people aged 18 or over. Do not sign in or play if you are younger. The game does not check your age itself.

Changes

We will update this page when the game or its data practices change. See also the terms and the about page.
